Hello everyone!

I joined Starbucks a little over 4 months ago and I have some thoughts, feelings, and reviews of my experiences so far!

1. Fellow baristas/partners/managers: I genuinely like my fellow workers. I don't have beef or personal issues with anyone. The one annoying thing I don't like is when people regularly call out. Overall they work hard and we can have fun together!
2. Giving away free things: I know Starbucks has customer connect and wants to make every moment positive, but it doesn't mean we should give away free things if someone demands it. We have people come in and claim they were just robbed and try to get multiple things from us, and 50% of the time my fellow workers will just give in just to appease them. I will give something extra if you're nice to me, but I'm not going to if you're rude about it.
3. Drinks: Drinks are so out of hand now. I shouldn't have to read an entire paragraph just to make a sugary drink. Some drinks do sound good and creative, but others make me question their taste buds.
4. Customers: Most of the customers are good. I've learned so many names and other background information and it makes my job a bit better. There are some customers that seems to not like us, and yet continue to come back. If you really didn't like us or always find something to complain about, then don't come back.
5. Time Availability: My time has always been respected. If I'm asked to come in earlier, stay later, or switch with someone, I have no issues with it if I know ahead of time and I don't have any conflicts. I work approximately 20 hours a week because of school, and I'm glad I am able to manage both. If school gets too busy, then I'll change my availability and talk to my manager.
