If your storeroom is organized there should be name tags for all the items with a par listed. You want to order enough to put you above that number. For milk, check the book and see if anyone does the milk log. If they do that should give you an idea of what milk you'll use in 2 days. As for food that's your best guess on how many you'll be pulling/selling the next two days. I usually go by the build to numbers in the pull to thaw app but you can only see those while you're doing the pull.
Edit: Forgot about RTD&E. There should be a "fresh sheet" somewhere that has pars for RTD&E stuff.

If I order on Monday, I get the order on Wednesday. The way I see things is if we’re going to run out of this product in the next two day, order it. Example: you have 5 things of coffee base, you’ll use three today and two tomorrow, so order it. I was never taught how to place orders either but it’s not as bad as it seems at first. If you’re getting something in the next day, you probably won’t have to order it. You should have pars for each item, so you can also order based on how many you need. I’ve always preferred being on the safe side when ordering so I don’t run out of things, but if it can wait another day, the shift the next day can order it. When ordering milk, you can check the milk count sheet in the DRB to see how many milks you go through in a day and how many you’ll need to order. You should have a sheet for how much food to order as well

The orders take me so long because I honestly don’t know what I’m doing yet. I WISH we had pars for the frozen food items because I really don’t know how much to order, especially the pastry’s. I’m so stressed out over the orders right now.
I’m so stressed out and I’m not even at work. I just can’t stop thinking about the things we are going to run out of and food that won’t fit in the freezer because I ordered too much.
