I'm paid the same regardless of window times. So I don't care what they are. There isn't much we can do if the customer takes forever anyway.
mcr04143 points1y ago
Trust me I feel the same way but my manager does not
BroccoliKitchen521616 points1y ago
This is because if the manager has low drive through times they get a Christmas bonus. We do not benefit from this whatsoever so take your time
designated-grapes20 points1y ago
If they don't bother staffing us to get decent drive times, I'm not going to bust my ass doing three people's jobs as fast as I could do one position.
maemac7 points1y ago
Yass same and I’m a morning supervisor Lmaoo OOPS
designated-grapes3 points1y ago
We'd make a good team! 😂😂😂
I was doing DTO/DTR AND warming during morning peak last week and I was seriously going to walk out if my shift said anything about the time to me.
victorious_gem12 points1y ago
y'all got 30 second window times?! 🥴 I hate keeping track of that bc these ppl come here && are like uhhh do you guys sell coffee?!
mcr04143 points1y ago
Honestly this store is ridiculous.
nyackitoff12 points1y ago
THIRTIES??? oh wow i-
ours is below 50 on weekdays and below 60 on weekends. We all manage not to stress ourselves out too much while getting good connect scores and staying in the 45's - 50's range. I'm so sorry y'all gotta go through that.
mcr04148 points1y ago
Honestly I love my partners but I want to transfer just because of the obsession of peak expectancies at this store
nyackitoff2 points1y ago
I do think you should consider it...
While having good partners does make a good workplace, if you all are being forced to act like machines in an assembly line then that makes the job instant hell :(
I wish you the best on transferring!
i_am_me476 points1y ago
expectation: 45 seconds any day of the week
actual: 1.5 minutes during weekdays and 2-4 minutes on weekends
maemac4 points1y ago
We’re happy if we can get 45 any day of the week. Weekends magically shoot up to a minute and something bc my manager swears we aren’t busy on the weekends bc “the sales don’t reflect it” wellllll MAYBE if we had more than 4 people on a Sunday we’d be able to serve people a little faster lmao. Weekends are also the most popular time to call out so I don’t even bother with times. Not killing myself for the siren!
mcr04141 points1y ago
What is with every store not having enough people on sundays?!? I hate working Sundays now
daisy-trbl4 points1y ago
ours is anything under a minute. most of the time its in the 40s, 50s on sunday. but anything under 40 is a miracle at our store cause we sell alot of food (so many egg bites 🙃)
happybowlita833 points1y ago
I worked at a store that kept their times under 30 but their sensor was placed wrong and if a car pulls forward too much the time sets to 0 until they drive off...
mcr04142 points1y ago
I have always been able to keep my drive times 30-35 at all my stores on the shifts I run by placement but my manager at this location is a bit more obsessed and expects it not higher than 30.’
happybowlita832 points1y ago
Are you in a very busy store?
mcr04141 points1y ago
Very very busy! Yes!
LeatherTurnip12243 points1y ago
As long as it’s in the green we’re fine, at least that’s what I aim for.
kooo20012 points1y ago
ours is 32 or below , if they schedule a good amount of people it stays 30
cgeniti2 points1y ago
we have slower people on bar when it’s usually peak, but how the hell do you get under a minute, ours can be anywhere from 3-15 minutes…. we’ve also been open for about 4 months, but we have a majority of transfers when we opened so any tips would be appreciated!!
mcr04142 points1y ago
You have to be hella busy. If there isn’t enough cars and don’t have a long enough drive (more time to have everything ready by the time they get to the window) there isn’t any way to get low times! When we are not busy they fly to the window and it’s hard to keep it down. Start with low numbers when it hits 7, it will stay low.
Edit: a new store takes about a year to get to full business and normal amount of customers people are prob still learning you are actually open :) I opened a couple stores in my day it took awhile!
SaltyFloor92 points1y ago
30?! Ours goal is 70! And usually there’s only one person taking orders and tendering at my store so we get so backed up. Then the manager gets mad about otw times :(
marilynmansonsbitch2 points1y ago
29-30!!!! thats outrageous.
LondonBalmain2 points1y ago
40-45 regardless of day of the week.

Our goal is usually 50 but our DT is extremely fucked and can only fit 3 cars between the screen and the window. Plus most of our regulars ask for burnt egg bites. Yeah.
mcr04142 points1y ago
3 cars?!? There is no way to have low times then! You need a long drive to have more time and more cars between ordering and getting to the window!
