I was scheduled to open at 4am today with 2 other baristas and a shift. By 4am, myself as well as the other 2 baristas were in the parking lot with no shift in sight. Finally 5:30am rolls around and another shift who wasn’t even the opener that overslept comes in to open with us. It is now 9:30am and the shift that overslept just woke up. But hey on the bright side I’m getting paid for the 1.5 hours I sat in my car and still get a meal.
