Tell your manager and write it in the punch communication log - the same place where you'd write your time if you forgot to clock in our out.

I think they're still offering 2 hours per shot, right? On the date of mine, I just wrote in the book with the code "vax" and the details "2 hrs paid for vaccine," or something like that. If you need the 4 hours for symptoms following the vaccination, I'd write something similar "vax" and "4 vaccine sick hrs."

Talk to your SM. Our partners let us know when their shots were scheduled and if it was a day that already had a schedule up we either found coverage for them, let them switch shifts with another barista for a different day, or worst case scenario just ate it and ran short. As long as you let them know ahead of time there’s a good chance your SM can just get you covered for the day.
