Does anyone else feel like they never get enough merchandise for launches? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by localvillagewitch
I work at a very busy tier 1 store outside of Seattle and the past few years I feel like we don’t get close to enough merchandise for launch days. We got one small box of fall items for today’s launch and I can’t even see any new ones coming in my RP order, I know the supply issues have made things difficult this year but this has been happening for a while. We have had over 8 phone calls this morning alone about studded cups that we didn’t receive and it’s frustrating. I want people to get the cups they want but I also am tired of being bombarded with calls and questions about them! Does anyone else have this issue?

Does your store sell a lot of retail? Over the past few years SB has been focusing more on stores that move a lot of merch and certain high foot traffic stores.

We sell out of every new cup shipment within a few days, that’s why it’s odd that we don’t get more stock because we sell a TON.

I’m a licensed busy store. We’ll usually get around 30ish of most of the cups. And we’ll sell out within an hour of opening. Summer 2 we got a ton of cups. Sold probably close to 100 of the studded cups by 5/6 pm (opening at 5) the dome rainbow cups finally al sold by mid July and we still probably have 15 of the hot rainbow travel mugs.
This time we sold out of the 20ish green studded around 7. When I left at 4 we still had 2 purple dome ones (that were hiding most the day) and didn’t sell much if anything else.

Was sick of getting calls the last 3 or so days. But loved not giving them any information
