I can’t think of a single scam or anything where this makes sense. You don’t have any stalkers do you? Literally the best I’ve got is it might have been a tactic to figure out if you were supposed to work that day / if you were already at work or smthn and they didn’t know you were on a LOA.

Add to this I guess in the same vein as a stalker, an overly controlling / abusive parent / significant other / misc? Someone who is like "Do they really have a job?" If there's a no-contact parent I could see something like this as well in theory.
Basically I'd be careful and do whatever you can to make sure you're safe, maybe ask the SM to check in with everyone and make sure no one's giving out info.

maybe it’s because i’ve been stalked before and i’m probably just overreacting, but i would honestly get the number of who called from your SM and then contact the non emergency police line. that sounds really concerning
