Out of state transfer pay (self.starbucksbaristas)

3 year partner here, I was wondering about pay if I were to transfer out of state. Currently sitting at around 16 an hour as a shift, living in Florida. If I were to transfer out of state where the minimum wage is significantly less than where I live, would my pay take a hit? Or would It stay the same.

unfortunately, you have to take the pay decrease. i just transferred out of state cause of college and i went from abt 14 and hour to 10. it’s just cause of the cost of living. you could maybe ask for a raise but i wouldn’t do it right up front

It’ll take a hit. I came from $14 to $11 as a shift, and asked for a raise and they couldn’t do it. Complete bullshit!
