Karen: I WANT TO TALK TO A MANAGER!!!
Red: I am the manager. Dumbass.
mrcupcake18150 points1y ago
Nothing! Why do people come to Starbucks when they are on a diet or want something low anything! Also this person just named our whole menu wtf lol
Chinaintown1 points1y ago
Yeah as someone who is looking to go back into keto I'm steering away from eating out period!
Yeah starbucks has keto friendly drinks but it's like just get a coffee or make it at home!
ItzBoogieMan96 points1y ago
Mf’s out here thinking Starbucks is a grocery store
jademerr86 points1y ago
When someone comes in and says this I say that I don’t think there’s anything we can make that’ll actually taste good because literally everything they give us is packed with sugar, wheat, dairy, and every other allergen and dietary restriction. I want them to know we are not at all the super inclusive coffee shop, we are in fact the coffee equivalent of McDonald’s.
Edit: of course I have to say it like “oh my gosh I’m so sorry I really don’t think we have anything like that….. but here’s what I suggest to do at home…. I’m so so so so so sorry again….. have a good day!!”
Js_On_My_Yeet54 points1y ago
"Ma'am/Sir, what we do have is depression and anxiety because you basically named off everything in our menu that you don't want."
jelizt53 points1y ago
My issues isn’t even that they come to Starbucks on a diet but that when you tell them their options they don’t want it and just end up getting a frap with nonfat milk and calling it a day.
miitopia_emblem47 points1y ago
A cup of almond milk with sugar free vanilla? Idk man they should just go get a diet soda or something, Starbucks can’t help anymore
existenaliens32 points1y ago
Even that isn't sugar free since Starbucks' almond milk includes sugar. But you're right, sbux can't help anymore.
spacebrain4205 points1y ago
Nonfat milk it is then? These people just don't get it or don't care. Lol
GinaMohundro24 points1y ago
Check the nutritional info on nonfat milk too…
Ghost_girl_xx8 points1y ago
No dairy
spacebrain42019 points1y ago
Lmao ice then. I know she said no water but it's frozen. A water frappe lmao

A recommendation to go literally anywhere else 😬
fuckthisshit____24 points1y ago
Idk why people who are trying to be healthy even come to Starbucks honestly, unless they’re cool with black coffee or tea with nothing in it, which they almost certainly never are
frappeyourmom19 points1y ago
Urnex.

A cup of ice, a napkin, and a sriracha packet

I think there's sugar in Sriracha. 😅

Decaf sugar free vanilla latte w/ non-dairy milk? Not sure if thats keto
shosh_c16 points1y ago
Decaf espresso still has some caffeine, and the non-dairy milks all have some sugar (though almondmilk has the least). I literally can’t think of a single drink we have that meets all their requirements.
Ordinary-Theory-82893 points1y ago
Passion tea is about it
New_Consequence_51845 points1y ago
They said the don't like tea XD
MajorIsland32 points1y ago
What about a water with inclusions, ice, and stevia blended. Lol sounds not good
awkardNeph7 points1y ago
Sugar free vanilla is not keto
givemeapples2 points1y ago
Keto Karen says she doesn't like coffee though haha
PluralPaul1 points1y ago
just give her heavy cream. that is literally the only purely keto thing because our sugar free vanilla isn't even keto-friendly, but people don't know that/don't care
givemeapples2 points1y ago
Keto Karen also doesn't want dairy :( all you can give her is either a cup of ice cubes or air LOL
Glum-Secretary25089 points1y ago
We have the exit ✌🏽

Literally had a lady come in today asking if Frappuccino’s had any artificial sweetener & exactly what it was & etc. it gets to the point where i tell people I’m not a dietician, google it. Like why are you even here???
tacticalcop2 points1y ago
before i quit i would have so many people that came in asking for keto, that i actually had an answer for them. i just suggest the pink drink with heavy cream and i haven’t had a single complaint
astivana1 points1y ago
That is… not a keto drink at all.
tacticalcop1 points1y ago
it’s all over keto recipe sites and i’ve had several keto people order it, they obviously think it’s keto so who am i to tell them it’s not?
[deleted]2 points1y ago
Why are they asking Starbucks of all places for any of this?
Celestebelle882 points1y ago
Air ? Lol people kill me !! Why do they come if they want anything you guys offer sigh

We have kids smoothies and juice in the fridge. Enjoy your apple juice you picky b*stard.
kIose1 points1y ago
I'm honestly trying to think, what drink can you buy from the grocery store that even fits those parameters?
pizzaplatinum1 points1y ago
Diet Caffeine-Free Coke, and those non-coffee coffee-drink alternatives that are made of carob?
kIose2 points1y ago
🤮
megs12881 points1y ago
Water
kmoonster0 points1y ago
A glass of milk or non-dairy alternative marked up 7x over retail, and at any temperature you like!

Or Apple Juice. The lemonade is basically yellow sugar water.
kattrinee0 points1y ago
Lemonade? Apple juice?
adorkablysporktastic-8 points1y ago
I'm really shocked that Starbucks doesn't cater more drinks to the low carb club. There's food items that are amazing for anyone doing low carb or keto, or, somewhat healthy. Just not on the drink menu without a million modifications. Heckin rude sometimes.
FfierceLaw8 points1y ago
1-800-STARBUC
xsourirex3 points1y ago
I really do wish they had more sugar free syrups. Diabetes runs in my family but I still like sweet stuff 😭😭😭
rudebii1 points1y ago
That’s not where the money is, the menu is a reflection of customer preference.
jml77910 points1y ago
I hate that you’re getting downvoted for this after Sbux took away every SF option except vanilla.
I’ll get downvoted for this too, but seriously. They could make SO MUCH MORE MONEY catering to those of us who can’t consume a million grams of sugar a day in addition to those who can.
ElijahLordoftheWoods8 points1y ago
Actually they don’t, that’s why they decided to stop carrying so much SF stuff. They don’t just come up with supply decisions out of the blue, they are a business, they do what’s profitable.
jml7791-1 points1y ago
And with the onslaught of keto/low carb that we are now seeing, it’s my opinion that Sbux is missing out on a huge market. Five years ago, that demographic was nowhere near what it is now. But what do I know? … Not much except that I really miss my SF Cinnamon Dolce latte.
ElijahLordoftheWoods5 points1y ago
What ‘onslaught?’ Literally we’ve stopped carrying skinny mocha, sugar free cinnamon dulce, sweet-n-low, and equal in the last 18 months. There is no increased demand, if anything there’s a decrease in demand.
rudebii4 points1y ago
Seattle is well aware of diet trends as they happen and make decisions on what has an acceptable ROI.
This is like giving McDonald’s the same advice. Every time they’ve tried to offer some kind of menu item that fits the current health trend, it flops.
Starbucks is good at making loaded beverages that are unhealthy and don’t make money moving into health fad lanes because its core customer base doesn’t come to the bux for that.
adorkablysporktastic2 points1y ago
Yeah. I get it's an unpopular opinion. But baristas would get so much less flack if there were more super easy low cab/low sugar options. The store i frequent doesn't even have SF vanilla currently (it's nbd to me, i don't even get syrup normally). When i had gestational diabetes it was annoying because i can still have a coffee, but, nothing good in it if Sbux is the only option.
They'd totally get more money because people would get a drink with their low carb snacks! Oh well!! I'm fine with the downvotes.
ElijahLordoftheWoods2 points1y ago
Except they are one of the largest businesses in the US and they do insane amounts of market research, the market research says there isn’t a demand for it. Frankly, I have food allergies, I’m lactose intolerant, and I’m autistic, I had to adapt, y’all can too. I have regulars that come in every day that just carry their preferred sweetener with them, which they then stir in themselves. Its not ideal no, but it’s not like y’all don’t have options.
