I made a post a couple of days ago about my experiences in the past 4 months, and it is fine (like a solid B). One of the issues I had were that the same people call out or are NCNS. Today we had a NCNS and there were only 4 people on the floor (thank God we aren't a drive thru store)! This isn't the first time this has happened with this partner, so I have no clue what's going to happen. I'm hoping they are ok and don't have a medical/family emergency, but it was just so frustrating and tiring to be on bar from opening (5:00) to 12 with one other person. I'm so glad we turned off delivery and mobile orders, but the lobby was packed with people non-stop! We just needed one person to do CS, but of course that didn't happen!
I tried to get my shift to take their 30 minute break, but he insisted that I take mine and he will just power through. I'm hoping he takes the rest of today and tomorrow to relax!
Just my rant for the day! Hopefully everyone else's day was much better, especially with the pumpkin season!

we had 5 NCNS yesterday(my store has a 60% attendance rate if that tells you anything) and we’re a $65k/week drive thru store. we had to run a 3 partner play and none of us took our breaks. my shift ended up working 15 hours and only took one 30, no tens. it pisses me off because we just got both a new SM and DM. neither one would agree to turning off mobiles or cafe. they knew we were short 5 people and refused to do anything about it. couldn’t do the pull, dishes, prep, nada. they refuse to say anything to the people who consistently not show up, yet the minute i walk in 5 minutes late my SM is on my ass—and they wonder why everyone wants to quit

FYI: don't be an asshole to people when they call out, and theyll actually call out next time. I refuse to call now bc I know they'll try to shame and bully me, ask me inappropriate questions, etc. I text the sm, thats it.

I never ask why someone was out because i don’t know if it’s a personal issue or not. I know it’s none of my business so i don’t ask and i continue to work with them

Not that he should ever be in a position where he has to do that but… that’s a good shift you’ve got there.

Technically policy is that a no call no show is a final written warning. That being said I have a shift at my store who is notorious for not showing up for open shifts and still has a job. (Thanks labor shortage:) )
