I am known in our store as the messy one, since day one i knock over at least one drink. I just laugh at myself when it happens and roll with it. Messes come with the job. Just really thank the person who helps you clean up or takes over for you. It happens!

in the same day i once forgot to scrape the grounds out of a grounds drawer before putting it in the hobart + i broke an espresso shot glass while trying to clean hot bar :’) also, not my story but one of my coworkers shared how they spilled a whole thing of mocha and it somehow splashed onto even the ceiling lmaooo,,
edit: my advice!!! is just to roll with it when it happens, laugh it off if you can and just get to cleaning up or whatever is most productive/helpful in the moment. it’s just coffee - and i guarantee almost everyone you work with has made a similar mess/mistake or has probably seen worse. i think it should be part of the job description that you’re just gonna make a giant mess, like all the time. if you happen to be a little more clumsy than others (me too lmao), that’s totally okay!!!
