Rehire (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by anxious_llama1193
So I got a call back, but I’m wondering will the new manager be able to see the name of the location where I quit?
Long story short, but I had an interview at a different location, not in the same district, and I explained to the manager why I quit and the location that I worked at, well turns out she’s friends with that asm. She said she wanted to hire me but she wanted to ask the old asm about me, which I thought I was in good terms with this asm, but after that I never heard back from this manager. Plus where I applied happens to be in the same district as the store I was trying to get hired at but different town. Just don’t want to get my hopes up again

Ex-manager here. When a partner is separated, their manager can write comments that are permanently attached to the partner info. So when hiring an old partner, the manager can call PRSC and they will tell them the old location, manager, and any comments on the file. They can also reach out to the old manager directly at this point for more info.

Do you know how soon a partner can come back? I’ve only been gone for a month

There’s no minimum amount of time at all! You could come back the next day and there’s nothing against it 🙂

Thank you for all your help, I have one last question, do you know if benefits get reinstated if a partner was only gone for a certain amount of time? I was doing Asu and If my interview goes well I’d like to continue with it without having to wait the whole time again to be eligible

Nope, the second you are separated from the system you go back to square 1 unfortunately :(

advice from a partner who got rehired not too long after quitting:

-yes, they can see your locations, who your managers were, any comments. this is a blessing and a curse. you can actually call partner contact center and see at least the main points they had to say, that’s how i figured out my old asm lied on my record.

-if you’re having issues getting rehired, try reaching out to pcc for the dm’s number. they can assist you with finding a location and helping you get rehired.

-be as upfront as possible about the situation, i can even suggest calling to speak with the hiring manager before you even place your application

Would I just call pcc and tell them I’m a previous partner who’d like to know what’s on my record?

yes! i checked my rehire eligibility and then asked if there’s anything discouraging on my record that could prevent me from being hired
