Dirty Chai is just chai tea latte with shots of espresso, just needs to be added on as an extra shot/shots on top of a chai tea latte

i’m fairly new too and just learned what that means! a dirty chai is a chai with a shot of espresso! another thing that i needed to be taught is that a red eye is a hot coffee with one shot of espresso in it, and a black eye is the same thing but with two shots! just in case you didn’t know that either lol!

Make sure to ask “how dirty 😏” when they ask for one

I’ve only heard it used with chai, so I’m not sure if it’s used elsewhere. I usually ask how many shots they’d like since it’s not really specific, but most others just assume one shot. I’ve heard of red and black eyes as nicknames for shots added to brewed hot coffee, but those are the only extra shot names I can think of rn.

Edit: if you’re including alcohol beverages, a dirty martini has olive juice added to it, but I’m not sure if that term is also used for other drinks.
