Pink drink? With pumpkin foam... Sure...

Iced Americano? ....with Vanilla sweet cream foam...? K...

Vanilla bean frappucino? ....... Half pumpkin foam and half salted cream foam..........

What the fuck is up with people with their annoying ass drinks and foam today?

They're all rabid and using the foam to hide that they are personally foaming at the mouth crazy for Starbucks drinks.

I have a regular who gets a venti blonde with salted foam. Every time someone explains that the foam will melt right away and she's always like yeah that's fine.

I was told that we aren't allowed to put cold foam on hot drinks anymore? Something to do with bacteria spreading? Idk.

That's a weird barista myth. Nothing about hot liquid + cold foam makes bacteria magically appear and spread.

It puts the drink (really a small layer of it, briefly) into a lukewarm "danger zone" where bacteria **can** grow better. Bacteria has to be there and grow for a bit. Food safety guidelines allow for food to be stored in the "danger zone" up to two hours before it has to be discarded. We're not responsible for what customers do with their drink after we hand it off. Including maintaining their drink above or below the safe temperature max/min.

i do have a regular who comes in and asks for a venti pike with vsccf 😭 she is the absolute sweetest and i love seeing her come in but i do wonder why she pays extra for the foam on a hot drink
