How long did it take for you to hear back after applying? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by en_flor
Kind of disheartened because it’s been 4 days and have not heard back 😭 submitted the app online for a store near that appeared to be hiring baristas. Applied online, obviously, so do not know who the manager is. Would you recommend calling in and asking to speak to the manager to hear an update on the status of the app?

I think the Starbucks application process is famous for taking awhile. I heard back basically a month after I applied and that was only because they were having a hiring event anyway. I’ve heard the same thing from others in-person and in Sbux subreddits. I recommend coming into the store to let them know who you are and that you applied (when it’s not busy) or calling and doing so. Much quicker :)

I applied early March this year and got a call back on the last day of April lol. Honestly if you can just be patient and answer all the calls you get from random numbers:)

I heard back nearly a month after applying. At that point I almost forgot I applied, lol! If you haven’t heard back after 2 weeks, maybe go in & introduce yourself… it can’t hurt :)

Definitely do that. Just go in and when you get up to the counter just say “hi i applied here a while ago and I just wanted to know if I could speak to a manager to follow up on my application?” Usually even if a manager is there they will just ask for your name and phone number. The manager will most likely call you after that if they’re hiring! Good luck I hope you get to experience being a green bean<3

I called in two days after submitting my application and asked if they received it and if there was anything else they needed from me. I left my name and number for the store manager to call me back. She called back that evening and I had an interview the next week! It’s always better to call after submitting just to get your name out there once more and show interest. :) Good luck!!

I heard back about a month later and I honestly should've just turned down the interview at that point.

Call on Monday, most store managers are in the office on those days so it’s a perfect time to call and ask.

It was about 2 months after I applied that I got a random email from the SM asking if I was still interested and just basic questions to get a feel for me. I went in for an in-person interview a few days later, and then it was another 3 weeks for my first day.
