I don’t get it lil rant (self.starbucksbaristas)

We let people grab their own mobiles again but it’s like people forgot how to.
We have all of the drinks turned towards the customers and away from us and people still stand in front of it and don’t even bother finding their own drink. I work in a super high traffic store and literally no one has the time to babysit the mobile stand I’m so tired
AND don’t get me started on the people that stand and block the handoff!!!! I had a lobby full of people and half of them literally just couldn’t grab their drinks because of the people standing there staring at us.
Sorry for complaining but oh my god I’m so tired of it and it’s only my second day at my new store. I feel like a brand new green bean even though I’ve been with Starbucks for a year.
I could go on and on about how unorganized and rough this store is but I’ll spare y’all the NOVEL.

You’re allowed to do that now? Good lord I wish my store would let us do that again. I’m so tired of having to designate an MOP position when I’m short staffed and our MOP is close to 40% some days. I’d rather have that person helping bar or something! But seeing as the public has forgotten how to get their mobile orders it may backfire on me too 🥲

My problem is my store does a hand out during peak then after customers can grab themselves.But my co workers will put out half the order and don’t wait for it to be ready for the customers and the same order will be in two different places.

Do you guys not have like 3-4 different mats alphabetized? At my store we have 3 for mobile orders, and then 1 for curbside/ delivery

No we just have a lot of counter space we’re too high volume we would need like 3-4 of those I think.

Yeah it's awful.
BUT one of my favorite interactions is when a person grabs the wrong drink, takes a sip out of it, and says,
"HEY, you made my drink wrong!!"
I'll be like: "Sir... that drink says Jessica. Are you Jessica?"

Bro that happened to me today except it was a lady that grabbed bacon bites for Janet and she was like this isn’t mine I didnt order this and I was like … are you Janet? She’s like no I ordered a sandwich for Amanda. Like huh??????? Why??????

I love when there’s only one drink at the end of the bar, and only one customer comes inside, reads the label on the cup that has their name — and responds “IS THIS MY ORDER??”

YES this drives me CRAZY. I turn the labels to face you so you don't have to touch all the drinks and so you can get them yourself! Why do you continue to either a)touch every drink, or b) stare at me from ten feet away while I'm busting my ass on bar?
