Ngl the first time someone tried ordering from me when I was working on bar, I was so surprised I just said "Do you think this is a cash register?" in the most astonished voice lol

I was bar and greeted a woman who came in, no hi back or nothing she immediately starts telling me her drink. I said oh X will ring that up for you at the register. She’s like “why did you even fucking say hello to me if you’re not here to take my order???”

Ill be BUSY on drive bar and a customer will go “hi ill have a “…..” like have you ever been anywhere in your life

It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is for so many people to find a register.

And I totally get it happening sometimes just because we all have those days but it happens a lot so I think it goes beyond people having a “bad day”.

one guy came to our mobile order section (WHICH IS NEXT TO OUR POS😭😭)and gave me like five drink orders and i was like "ummm did you mobile order?" and he was like "no, clearly this is where i pay and i'm telling you my order." LMAO clearly you don't see the two big signs that say MOBILE ORDER PICKUP HERE

Don’t forget coming up to you while you’re making drinks asking about the food they ordered.

MAAM YOU ARE LITERALLY WATCHING ME MAKE DRINKS I DONT HAVE YOUR FOOD

Same with people waiting in the DT line behind other cars to order.

Barista and customer here! We supposedly have our Order and Pickup signs "backwards" according to our non regular customers and jeez Louise, they cause a stink! I mean, I look for a line, sure but my ass looks for a register BEFORE I ramble off an order (always a hello, we are in the South. They beat manners into you down here). I was raised in a barn but dang people! I guess that phrase is a good thing now.💁🏻‍♀️

Yo I've had some keep pushing money over it and I had to keep letting her know that the register was on the other side of the store 🤦‍♂️ she asked for my manager, who kindly showed her to the register and she just left

I had a customer do this and I held up the venti iced latte I was making and said “am I in the wrong spot? This looks like a latte not a hundred dollar bill! Dang it must have gotten lost again.” In the most sarcastic tone I could muster. They still didn’t get the hint so I pointed to the Mastrena and said “espresso machine.” Pointed next to me to the register and said “cash register. Order there.”

I work at a Starbucks at sky harbor airport, Jesus Christ the traveling public are a different type of stupid... due to low staffing, out store is only opened from 4:30am to 12:30pm. I cannot tell you how many guests will walk into our store, past the ropes.and barriers, to ask if we're open and try to start playing an order. Or guests that'll walk to the exposed pick up counter while I'm working bar, drowning as there's two cashier's, one person on ovens, and I'm the only person on hot and cold bar, and try to place an order with me or ask me while their 17 dbl's from ovens are taking so long

My store is the WORST for this

someone tried to ores from me through the syrup rack, and also one time in the drive thru... but while i was physically standing outside doing a trash run

Ours like to go over to our mobile drinks station as well :)
