Covid markouts (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by taxighost
My manager told me the daily food/drink benefit ends for partners on sep 1 (today) but i’ve been seeing people saying it doesn’t end till the 23rd. does anyone know if it’s still going and if they’re considering renewing it with all the new covid cases?

idc I'm gonna keep marking it out till I get yelled at

Just a warning, won’t yell at you for abusing it, they’ll fire you right away. It’s often the DM or corporate who notices and they don’t give you a warning.

They can see it marked in the system and should be looking every week when managers are doing auditing. Their guidelines right now are that you can get mark outs for a food and drink on days you're not working and also I believe your coffee for the week mark out. That is going to end October 3rd as of right now but it might change, waiting on updates. If you abuse this system after it ends then yes, TECHNICALLY they can just fire you on the spot since you'd be breaking a rule there and 'stealing'.

It’s been extended. The pandemic still isn’t over.

On partner hub under covid resources, it says it’s been extended until October 3rd (end of Q4). Took me 2 minutes to find it.

The last time I saw the hub it says it was extended through October 3rd

They are considering making it a permanent benefit but as of now it’s until some time in October.
