Is there a minimum days you have to work if you still want to be a Starbucks employee? (self.starbucksbaristas)

There's a minimum amount of hours you need to maintain for certain benefits (ie: ASU and Medical Coverage)- there is not a minimum amount of hours required to be a Starbucks employee. As long as you're on the schedule, you work for Starbucks. Your manager might be trying to tell you that it might not be worth keeping you on the team if you dont have enough availability. I'd be concerned. Have a chat with them about it and if it doesn't fix anything, go to corporate and ask them what they think of the situation. PCC is a very useful resource.

My manager had straight up kept college kids on the schedule and they didn’t work for 4 months. Pretty sure the DM doesn’t know though XD

If you’re not using benefits, then no! We have a ton of college students that only work like 5-10 hours a week

I was told 12 hour minimum per week. And bitterly separated from the company so… I really don’t know. Perhaps contact partner resources?

I have a partner that only works two days a week, since he has another job where he makes more money.

Also have a partner that is never scheduled because she has a full time job, but will come in and pick up shifts when she is available.

My SM was desperate to keep people so she said yes to these requests very quickly.

There's no minimum for Starbucks as a whole, but your manager can definitely make those decisions for their store

No, I work only weekends at 14 hours because I’m a full-time student during the week and online classes take a lot of my days away when I’m slammed with homework amongst other things in my personal life. One of my coworkers only works Sundays at 5 hours. You should be fine if you need to reduce hours! Your SM should be accommodating to your availability.

PLAN THIS! I think last time this happened someone circulated a digital flyer that went all over a few threads and on fb.
