Does the smell of the apple brown sugar syrup make them gag or is it just me? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’ve been having beef with the syrup since I first smelt it and I refuse to make anything with the syrup in it. It’s that bad to me guys.

Those don't bother me as much, but once we dropped a warmed chorizo on the mat, and it smelled like what I can only describe as a vomit scented fart till he power washed the mat. It was a miserable humid summer day.

Both of those come with mustard and the smell of hot mustard is just not great.

Also the onion in the double smoked bacon and chicken just elevates it to astounding levels of stench.

Yes me too lol I like to put it in my cold brew with oat milk. Maybe I’m crazy but the oat milk gives it a salty flavor weirdly idk how to explain. Like with the brown sugar syrup it tastes a pretzel.

Everything bagels, same! Someone I knew would burn it and put peanut butter on top, so when I have to cook it in the early mornings, sometimes I feel sick. 🤢

I'm dreading chestnut praline season. For years it's smelled like creamed corn to me. Not too bad but when I make a hot one it makes me think about how horrible it would be to steam creamed corn and I get the ick shivers.

Oh wow…. I actually like the chestnut praline. I think for me it becomes a problem when the syrups starts to get everywhere on the bar and no one cleans it up. Now that when it starts to smells .

Yes it's so disgusting to me omg. I feel the same with caramel, the syrup smells and tastes chemically and gross, but the drizzle is delicious for both

I also cannot stand the smell of the kiwi base it smells like something died 😭
