Just think of it this way. Hot and iced venti espresso drinks are the only ones that are different.
Tall espresso drinks, both hot and iced, are 1 shot, 3 pumps.
Grande espresso drinks, both hot and iced, are 2 shots, 4 pumps.
Venti espresso drinks are the outlier. Hot venti espresso drinks are 2 shots, 5 pumps. Iced venti espresso drinks are 3 shots, 6 pumps. This is because the iced version is 24 ounces, verses 20 ounces for hot.

the best advice i got was learning to say ‘starbucks, short, tall, grande, venti, venti iced, trenta’ in my head while pumping syrups and doing one pump per word. so a venti would get 5 and a venti iced gets 6 for the basic drinks. has saved me so many times when i blanked lol

when i first started, i’d take a minute or so to draw out a small cheat sheet chart on the bar/counter with my chalk marker. referencing it enough times resulted in memorizing the chart. my store didn’t care as long as i took a second to wipe it off before leaving bar.

Memorize 122/345 (shots/ pumps of syrup T|G|V) to use on standard drinks, then move on to learning non-standard builds (ie an extra shot and pump for iced Ventis, one less pump for macchiatos, etc)

Just remember grande gets 4 pumps & 2 shots & work ur way up & down from that. Venti iced gets 3 shots. Don’t overthink it.

I’ll add that Frappuccinos are all the same. 2-3-4 pumps/scoops.
