hey folks! my store has been having countless issues and my sm is not doing the best so i sat down with a few partners to put together a list of things we would really appreciate improvement on and i sent it to my district manager in a very professional message. it’s been over a week and i haven’t heard back from anyone; who do i reach out to? there’s a real lack of communication on almost every level of our store (w/ scheduling, training, etc.) and it’s something that a lot of us are suffering because of. i just want to make it easier on myself and my coworkers :(

I mean, my first questions are

1) what medium did you use for the message (email or text)

2) have you tried a phonecall? Even to say “I sent an email I would like to confirm you got and are looking over. However I’d refer to talk via email and not on this phonecall.”

3) And is your DM on vacation or anything? I know my DM would be on vacation and even as a SS who occasionally might have to reach them, I wouldn’t always hear about it or who the fill in was.

If you still can’t reach anyone the next step is RM I guess but idk how one goes about getting their number. PCC might be able to help.

I initially reached out through text! I have tried a phone call and left a voicemail asking to speak either in email/text/in-person. To the best of my knowledge, they are not on vacation. I’ve heard rumors that we’re swapping DMs again but like not officially.

I would recommend copying the text into an email. Text isn't 'official' communication at Starbucks. If they don't reply to the email within 2-3 days personally I'd probably think about calling PCC and saying you can't get in touch with the DM.

If the DM is leaving or something that might explain the lack of communication, but that doesn't fix your troubles. Best idea I've got is to push it with PCC and they might be able to contact or give you contact info for whoever is responsible for your district at the moment (whether another DM or an RM or whatever is happening)
