Hey! I was hired in April, but I just recently found out about the coffee passports. I never got one and didn't know where to look in order to get one.
Thanks!

Ask your Sm for one. If they don’t have one, any SSV can order one on a store order for you.

It's how the ~~government~~ Starbucks can ~~track~~ teach you
CoffeeIslander13 points1y ago
Yeah, I heard if you fill it out magnets will stick to your body! Wake up, people! If the siren wanted you to make coffee she wouldn't have invented frappuccinos! Shame on all of you who keep pushing the coffee agenda! You will all pay for your crimes against candy drinks!

I’m laughing because this feels like exactly what the evolution of the menu has become.

It has all the information for most of the blends that Starbucks has/sells! It is very helpful to refer to during coffee tastings and to take notes in.

LOL. Coffee Passports are this thing that used to be required back in the olden days when Starbucks was a coffee shop. It was literally part of your 6-month review. You had to show that you completed (just the core coffees) a new one at every review and it would influence your review score. Basically, it was a journal with pages for all the core and seasonal coffees in it and you had to taste every coffee and write down your notes about them. A lot of stores used to actually have real weekly coffee tastings where someone would make a french press, get cups ready, and have food pairings prepared, and then we would all conduct the tasting together and discuss our thoughts about the aroma, acidity, body, and flavor, and how it paired with the selected food. The purpose was to help ensure that everyone in the store was at least a moderate coffee expert and could speak from experience when helping customers make a whole bean coffee selection. Yeah, Starbucks does NOT care about that at all anymore because there's way more profit in having a store full of frappuccino assembly drones than coffee experts. It makes sense as a business, but as someone who applied at Starbucks because I actually fell for the company rhetoric, it stings a little. #tobeapartner

Wow mustve been nice.
CoffeeIslander1 points1y ago
It was. Back then a lot of people applied at Starbucks because they were passionate about coffee. Today, if you're passionate about coffee I would recommend NOT applying. It'll just make you hate coffee. Apply at your local coffee shop instead.

It’s an app you can download
cryingoverspiltmiIk8 points1y ago
They’re actually shutting down the app/website in the next few weeks, if they haven’t already. It was in one of the weekly updates. (Apparently someone decided it would be easier to take down the site than to keep it up to date with new coffees.)
CoffeeIslander13 points1y ago
Makes sense, since Starbucks has shifted to being a candy gas station. Why waste time on coffee knowledge? lol

Not able to order them right now. Check local stores that may have a stash in the back office.
