Obviously I know why and understand why.. but as a chronic nail biter who can only grow out their nails when they’re painted, I was very happy to finally quit.

SAME!!! i worked retail before starbucks and the uniform suckkkeddd but it was so fun to express myself thru my nails (: i will say having to wear my hair up all day in my hat helps w the hair issue.

WHY cant we wear gloves??? like what the fuck. obviously i understand why we cant have painted nails i get that they can chip and it can fall into drinks but like... hello?? GLOVES??? do they not work all of a sudden??? why are we literally not allowed to wear them???
francescugh 26 points 1y ago
honestly!! i can hear it now “it’ll slow down times” while they simultaneously dont let us batch frappuccinos 💔

Where does it say we can’t wear gloves?
francescugh 9 points 1y ago
it doesn’t say we cant wear gloves. i’m saying IF we were allowed to get manicures we would likely be required to wear gloves! just like at dunkin and other fast food places

We weren’t allowed to have piercings or jewelry either. We wore piercings and jewelry.

Its literally a health issue. Acrylics or nail polish could chip into a drink. Same reason we can't have bracelets or rings.
francescugh 22 points 1y ago
hey homie have u ever heard of food safety gloves
francescugh 7 points 1y ago
thats what dunkin’ does at least :P
