I transferred to a new store about 3 weeks ago since I moved to a new town, and this SM is one of the rudest, most passive aggressive people I’ve ever met. He has no empathy for partners and in return, the other partners at the store are nasty to each other at work because of the hostile work environment he created. I’ve been having some health issues recently, and when calling off, he has accused me of lying and trying to “party” on the weekends instead of working. I’ve offered him doctors notes several times to prove my illness but he still claims I’m lying. I finally snapped after an incredibly horrible interaction with him and a shift manager today and am putting in my two weeks notice tomorrow. Idk if it’s a requirement to lack empathy as a Starbucks SM or just a perk when they hire you, but either way I’m not dealing with it anymore.
