sketchers! they have their own personal work brand. it will set you back anywhere from 80~120 bucks but they are comfortable and reliable i’ve had the same pair for years without them ever breaking or feeling stiff.

At least partners get discounts on sketchers

I’ve worn boots for the longest, mostly because I’m always the person who ends up cleaning the really gross stuff and that leads to a lot of water (mop water, sink water, etc) either splashing on my feet or being stepped in and I got so tired of wet socks and gym shoes.

I would recommend a pair that are at least above the ankle, with some kind of water-proofing if possible (some you can buy this way, others you can use a shoe wax appropriate for the material, it’s a little extra effort but the payout is worth it IMO).

They’re not really cheap, but I’ve had a good pair last me 2-3+ years and haven’t had wet socks since.

I recommend compression socks with whatever shoe you do end up getting. Even the world's best shoe can only do so much for standing upright for 5+ hours.

Seconding compression socks. I have serious foot/knee pain that leaves me in tears after a long shift. I've spent $100 on shoes that made no difference. Compression socks are the only things that have ever helped.

I’m in the minority on this in my store but I love my Danskos. My feet and legs never hurt

I have Dakota brand anti slip shoes from marks. I've been wearing them for a year and still pretty supportive and comfy

ASICS sneakers! I've had my current pair for 2 years, they were a bit pricey but they're so comfy
