Oh man, my store too!! A dude ordered a blonde iced white mocha for his wife/girlfriend/person in the passenger seat, and when I said that I was unfortunately out she started SHOUTING. He asked for a minute, though I was of course privy to their argument, and then he ordered her a regular iced WM, his drink, and food for them both… but then in the three minutes it took them to get from the speaker to the window SOMETHING had happened because he just zoomed past the window! 🤷🏻♀️

We have a woman who comes at 1 (on inconsistent days) to get blonde roast after we’ve told her 20+ times we do not brew it past noon. She won’t take a pour over or americano, she just tantrums and leaves.

Whenever we run out of espresso we just use pike.
If we run out of Blonde Espresso we use a blonde roast coffee and if we run out of decaf espresso we just use decaf pike.

It’s our SM that that directs us to do it but I totally agree with you.
Our SM made it sound like it was standard.
The last time it happened we were out of espresso for a few days before she had us do it.

I’d file a report on your manager to be honest. Mine would call me hostile and make sexual jokes about my piercings or something about the relationship between my boyfriend and I. The least yours could do is grant your day off or shut up.

I heard the warehouse is out of pumpkin cream cheese muffins, sausage and cheddar sandwiches, double smoked sandwiches, and bacon egg bites 🙃 we just haven’t been receiving anything on our loads except cups and mocha pretty much

Ice can be optional. Our ice machine was broken for a couple months this year. We were getting 100+ lbs of ice from gas stations and grocery stores. Shit sucked.

Yeah. They kept trying to fix it. Originally it wouldn’t make ice but then it further broke and would no longer keep things cold. I guess all the shortages balanced this out since we could keep the bags of ice we bought where all the food we didn’t have go. Then they finally sourced us a new one but they dropped that one coming off the truck so then they had to send us a second one.
The whole thing was dragged out because the company in our area who was handling all of this for us wasn’t communicating really with us and then I guess at one point the DM thought it was fixed but it definitely was not. It was a long couple of months.
The icing on the cake was they wouldn’t approve of us getting an official ice delivery because of the cost but I did the math myself and the buying off ice from gas stations and grocery stores cost us as much, and often more than that would. Never mind the loss of labor on the floor from being down a person since we had to go buy it and carry it all in ourselves. It was also the hottest time of the year so we would be carrying in like a 100lbs of ice in little 10 or 20lb bags when it was 103° outside or something.

My location doesn’t have official shortages of any of these things, but I don’t want to get all Kevin Johnson about it and blame the managers for not ordering enough…
I think we all just got way too busy way too quickly and didn’t adjust pars fast enough.
There have been tons of delivery issues though!

I have injured leg for slipping and twist my ankle for getting pastries and had to wear case to work 🙃. but like your store we were out alot stuff like mocha, cold brew, some pastries in back order, kiwi starfruit,dried strawberry, expresso beans and vanilla syrup. I wanted to stay home since customers and maybe co workers were annoy the fact I that I got hurt ( because no one wanted to go the damn freezer to get pastries so I was pick on to always go 😑)but since we short staff, I help out so that the minors who can't go to customer service to count the tip jar, dishes, or take garbage (now I'm restricted from it).
