Sick hours/calling in sick (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi! I have never used any of my sick hours. I have never called in sick since I’ve always found coverage for my shifts I couldn’t work. I’m wondering how can I use my sick hours without calling out sick and making the floor short.
Also, if I ever quit what happens to those sick hours? Is it use it or lose it type of thing? Thanks!

You should have used your sick hours for the shifts you found coverage for. You do lose them when you quit.

I don't think that we get "sick hours" per say. If you're sick, you're sick. Just let your store manager know, or call the store. If it starts happening too often than your SM will prob have to talk to you if something's a real medical concern. This is how it goes at my location so I may be wrong. Hope this helps

We do get sick hours they give u hours the more that time goes by and u can use them when u call out. Usually u can just write in the book how many hours of ur sick time u wanna use to cover ur lost shift
