My store is currently manager-less until mid to late October. The other stores in my area are concerned for our well being because we are over-staffed yet constantly under-scheduled with no manager to turn to. We were up until 1 am in our group texting about our schedules for the next couple weeks. Many of my co-workers who depend on this job for rent are working 0-10 hours for a week. I’m a minor so I can afford to lose shifts and I’ve basically raffled out my shifts. Shift supervisors are over-scheduled and too many people are scheduled outside of their availability. We have frantically texted our General Manager this morning to get it fixed and are anxiously awaiting her response. To make matters worse we ran out of Pumpkin Spice, Chai, and milk the other day 🥴

I don't understand how this is possible. What happened to your ASM/SM's, and how have other managers in the district not been sent in as interim managers. My store's manager is currently running two stores rn, and has at times stepped in while other store managers were on vacation/sick leave, and my store has had a temporary store manager while ours was out for surgery.

Having worked at a store that had no manager over the summer, can confirm that sbux will let a store improvise without a manager for as long as possible

We are the smallest store in our district. For as long as I’ve worked there we’ve never had a ASM. Our SM put her two weeks in and barely worked during her last two weeks. Idk why we haven’t had a different SM step in but we have our new manager in training right now and we won’t be meeting them until October.

Contact your DM. There should be an acting store manager in charge.

Right now my DM is currently acting as SM for our store on top of her other duties and training our new SM so it’s a little hectic 😤

We were manager-less for 2 months until last week, and a manager from another store wrote our schedules. It was awful, but as long as you have good supervisors who care about the store, you'll get through. As a supervisor, I was editing the other managers schedules that she made and I tried my best to get us good coverage and stuff. I'm not paid enough and I feel like I deserve a bonus lol, but I wanted the store to be okay so I did it. At least I know I never want to be a manager now. You got this! Pitch in and help as much as you can and even though it might be shitty, stick it out for your fellow partners! You'll get your manager soon!

Yeah! One of the shifts has set-up a meeting with our DM about the schedules for the past few weeks because it’s been all over the place. He’s the GOAT

Good luck and I'm glad you have good support in your shift team!
