How to communicate I’m quitting (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by liveingalpal
So I’ve been a partner since April of this year, but unfortunately can no longer continue working just because I need to spend more time on school. I only work the weekends, and I’ve been trying to put in my two weeks to my manager in person, but she didn’t work last weekend or this next coming weekend.

How can I text my manager and basically say that I need to talk to her about putting my two weeks in? Or should I just show up on my day off to give it to her? I if anyone has any tips anything please leave it below 😌

You can also write a formal note! Current date and then state that the date two weeks out will be your final day. Put it in an envelope and leave on her desk or hand it to her and explain this is your notice

Thanks! I actually already have the notice written, it’s just means of actually getting it to her.. I feel like it’s not proper to just leave it on her desk? I could be wrong

Pass to the SSV who will prob let her know you dropped a resignation letter.

I mean, I had a partner just a week and a half ago literally text me and say they weren't coming back 2 hours before they worked. So, any form of delivery of notice is appreciated. I have had some people give me a greetings card and I've had some people just tell me that they're not going to come back to work and I've had people give me even months and months notice in advance. It is more about the rapport that you build then it is about the way you give your notice that makes the difference, for me at least.
