I Don’t Know What’s Happening (self.starbucksbaristas)

I felt like my store was great during the summer (plenty of ups and downs). But now for the past month or so, we had plenty of call outs/NCNS and general staffing issues. Today there are 3 people this morning (out of 6 scheduled people). We turned off mobile and delivery at least. And we got permission from our manager to close the store for an hour for our breaks/stocking.

The last person who quit was like 4 months ago. And we hired 5 people in the last few months. I’m guessing people are just exhausted and tired, which i completely understand.

Idk how many highschool/ college students you have but that may also be a big factor. I know my home store is struggling with staffing since school started. I’m sorry you guys are going through this, best of luck ❤️

The youngest person we have is 21, and they are not in college or anything. We do have other college students, but they aren’t the ones calling out.
