I’ve given up on the covid protocols for wrong drinks if they claim it’s wrong after I clarified during the order I’m taking it back and dumping it. I had a woman come in and said her venti brown sugar shaken esp tasted wrong so I made a new one, that one tastes burnt, so I made a new one, the next one was too sweet so she asked for less pumps. Yep I made a new one. Only for her to sip the original again and say “you know what it’s kinda okay” I offered to dump the extras so she didn’t have to carry all the bad tasting ones to which she said “no it’s okay I don’t wanna trouble you” and walked out with 3 free 6 buck drinks

Yeah we stopped the whole “can’t take it back because COVID” thing because we had people abusing it. Now when someone claims their drink was made wrong, we take it back and dump it out and remake it.

Yea i’ve started to take drinks back if the customer was exceptionally rude or annoying, especially since I was told more recently that we were allowed to take them back (I still let most people keep the extra drink as long as they aren’t assholes)

Oddly enough, this isn’t a problem at my store. When someone says their drink is made wrong, they always hand it back to us because they don’t want it. Of course, there are a few trying to game the system, but we always take the drink back and dump it when the customer says it was made wrong.
