Questions About Using SSV Experience to Get a Better Job (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Every-Temperature-28
Hi, I have been a SSV for a few months now and due to poor management and a constant team of brand-new workers that are underage, the job has come to be unbearable. I have been wanting to get into a job involving data entry/ "boring office work" and was wondering if the SSV title can help me find any specific jobs in that realm? Or am I screwed and have to start from the bottom and take a huge pay cut? I was hoping the money-management and floor managing would help me, but I am starting to get discouraged. I don't have a college degree yet, thinking about getting it in marketing/ data analysis/ computer science, but don't know for sure.
What have you gotten from your SSV experience? Should I stick around and get my degree first? I just want to work a Mon-Friday 9-5 job, I'm tired of working Sundays and crazy hours and taking in all of the stress that the manager doesn't have to experience :(
