oof. I was the first hire for this store. I worked with partners and some of them became my best friends. I progressed from being a baby barista to barista trainer to shift supervisor. I changed so much within these two years. The baby that went in is no longer the person who came out the other side. In my heart I know it was time for my next chapter. But it’s such a bittersweet feeling. For quite a while now I havent mentally been here just physically working. Out of 28, only 2 OG coworkers are left and it’s been a slippery slope since. The warmth I used to get when coming in to say hi to my friends is gone. Its been replaced with Drive thru times for a while now. I will miss my friends that are still there, I will miss being a shift, getting free coffee. For the time I was here, I enjoyed it. I owe a lot to this terrible, terrible, fun job. I am thankful for the lessons and personal growth. I hope it treats the next person as well as it treated me. ♥️

Sounds a lot like my experience leaving - I just left in June after almost 3 years. The job had a major impact on me in a lot of ways, and I made some of the best friends I've ever had. At first, back in 2018-9, it was actually really fun going to work (for the most part). It wrenches my heart a little bit to think that time is over, and everything is so different now. Congrats on leaving
