The customer today that wanted a “White Chocolate”, not a White Chocolate Mocha because apparently a White Chocolate has White Chocolate sauce and shots and the WCM is something completely different 🙄😂

Hahahahah! We have a regular who says the same thing! Some of these customers are delusional.

Reminds me of the other day when a couple came through the drive thru and told me to “make our drinks better” than yesterday. I tried to ask them what I could do to improve and they had no helpful information other than making them better.
They ordered hot venti white chocolate mochas and I had them drink it at the window to see if they tasted alright. They hated them and said there was no flavor. I offered to remake them, explaining how many pumps of white chocolate goes into a venti, offering them a few more pumps. They refused and drove off annoyed.
5 mins later the women comes in asking how many shots we put into their drinks. I say 2 because they ordered Venti hot ones. She tells me I’m wrong because she “called Starbucks”and they told her the drink gets 3. I explain that if they ordered iced drinks, three is standard but because they ordered hot, they got 2. She refused to believe me and I called over my shift who proceeded to tell her literally the same information.
Some people.

she couldn’t taste it? huh, no red flags here, during a pandemic :)

I had one yesterday who got her venti iced psl and was like, “this isn’t supposed to come with whip”.
First time i’ve ever just been like yeah standardly it does🙃. Then she was like, “it’s never had whip on it before when I get it”
So I straight up was like, well then your baristas were making it wrong

RANT: had this horrible person. Tell me I didn't know what a macchiato was. I told her that I made it correctly and she said "the caramel is supposed to be on the bottom"
I said ok, let me remake it. So I did and she said it still didn't look right. Me being a good barista I knew she wanted a latte/upside down macchiato so I told her I would remake it AGAIN for her. She was super condescending and rude about how I didn't know what I was doing so in my nicest customer support voice I let her know a macchiato has the shots on top but if she just asks nicely I can do it her way. She ARGUED with me saying she gets it at ✨ *The Other Starbucks^tm* ✨ all the time without asking and she NEVER ASKED ME TO REMAKE IT THE THIRD TIME, she refused to ask, insisting she was right so I sent her out with exactly what she ordered

People like this make me want to grab a spare apron, throw it at them, and then tell them to go clock in for their shift since apparently they know how to do my job better than me.

This reminds me of something that happened today. I had a customer come in with such aggressive energy hounding me about having Halloween cups. Kept asking me if we had any and if we’re getting any cause apparently “tHe OtHeR STores sAID tHeY do” or something like that.
I tried to keep nice and repeatedly told her I know nothing of getting Halloween cups nor do we have any. She demanded I go to the back and check and I informed her once again I knew what we had on hand regarding merchandise. This woman seriously didn’t believe me and was convinced we had Halloween cups.
She finally gave up when she asked to speak to someone else (I was the SSV lol) and I told her I’d be happy to get someone else but they will tell her the same thing lol.

we had a regular who was always a bit pushy, but would eventually settle down. her usual was an extra hot chai latte with 3 (iirc) pumps of vanilla. on one unusually hot september day, she came in and ordered a regular temp chai latte with vanilla pumps as well as a hibiscus tea with lemonade. my SSV started on the chai vanilla latte and i worked on the tea. she was standing at the drink pick up spot which was right next to where i was making her drink. right as i start to pour in the lemonade she says “why are you adding the lemonade separately?”. i said that the hibiscus tea was a, by default, its own drink that didnt include lemonade. i even showed her the bottle. she started ranting that not only should the hibiscus tea with lemonade be in its own premixed bottle, but that every drink combination should be in its own premixed bottle. i started to explain that it would be impossible to accommodate every combination of every drink since people ask for pump changes, substitutions, ‘secret menu’ items, and all sorts of other varieties. i also worked at a small sbux, where we were already crunched for space. not even a reserve could fit all of those potential combinations...
she said she would be submitting a complaint about me and the drink mixes to corporate. my SSV and i laughed it off and moved on. like love, sbux isnt about to change its **entire** production model to fit the needs of your absurd request. she came back after that.
