I work at a store whose employees are quiting!! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Groundbreaking_activ
The two people who have been there the longest are quiting in two weeks, and as a result, everyone has made up their mind that they will leave also.( I think that they are somewhat serious about this.) Thus, in two weeks, the only employees there will be me and the manager unless something changes.I am wondering if this store will even survive, as neither one of us are willing or able to work 105(ndividually or combined) hours a week to keep the store runing at usual hours. Does anyone know what may likely happen if this all pans out?

More than likely they will try to borrow partners and perhaps an ASM from nearby stores while doing a massive hiring push. Also, reduced operating hours.

I have no idea but feel free (ala, please do) post an update later because this is some tea.

Yes. I confirmed that at least one person is leaving already, but some people are transfering and that has to be confirmed by the manager.

Ah, they might have a lot of trouble transferring, unless they're moving or something. Managers and DMs have to approve the transfer, which they won't want to do if it leaves the store empty. If they're just trying to transfer because they don't like the store- I mean, I don't know that they're going to flat out get told "No," but it's not going to be as fast. So unless they're willing to quit instead, they might get stuck until you can get a fresh crew of greenbeans.
