That’s literally why I waited so long to quit. But tbh I should’ve put in my two weeks the FIRST time they held me over my shift because there would’ve been an hour long gap with only new hires on the floor if I left when I was scheduled to. Never letting corporate assholes and managers walk all over me like that again

Yuuuup. I was the first in a wave of new hires and as soon as a few of us were officially out on the floor for coverage, bitter and burned out baristas who'd been staying out of misplaced guilt started leaving, 2 or 3 every month pretty much. It put coverage right back in the same spot it was before I was hired, but what are you going to do when this job makes so many people so unhappy? I miss them but glad they're happier ❤️
