If you can’t work make sure you take medical leave through Sedgwick so you still get paid

So I don't know about specific policy- I don't think it'd be written down and easily found, it's probably a "go through PCC and submit a bunch of paperwork and see what they say" because you probably get into ADA and medical leave and legal requirements, etc etc, - but I've seen/heard of baristas working at drive thru's on window or DTO during peak on a chair when there are a lot of people on, with a foot cast. That is the only circumstance I've seen or heard of. I personally would think any other position or daypart is probably too much of a concern- both because I'm assuming you're probably not supposed to be running around on it much, and it's probably pretty easy for it to get jarred / hit / etc with the hustle and bustle. So unless you're at a Drive Thru that runs 6+ person peaks and have availability for peak, I'm not sure if there's a "reasonable accommodation" if you wanted to continue working (but I could very well be wrong). Do you believe yourself capable to do standard Starbucks work?
Anyhow if you really wanna know the technical answer I'd probably call PCC. They can direct you to the right person- whether that's Sedgewick or them- and I wouldn't be surprised if you need doctors notes / forms filled out.
Edit: Also thinking of it, even if you feel like you can physically do standard barista work, idk if it puts liability on Starbuck's side if you get injured. They might want to avoid that.
