I find that green beans feel like they need to get out of everyone’s way often- and are constantly apologizing for it. Make sure they know that it’s totally normal to be in every partners way all day long. It’s part of the job. If you’re not in someone’s way you’re not doing it right lol. But seriously, it takes some of the anxiety away so they can concentrate on more important things than trying not to be in the way.

$1 is from like one day ago and has a lot of good advice in it.

Rehire-specific advice: generally need very little training in my experience, but ask how long they've been out and how long they worked. In the past 2 years or so there's actually been a good amount of changes to standard recipes- like hot chocolate's changed, making WC has changed, etc. Honestly you might want to just set aside time and have them tab through all the recipes so they can skim / catch any changes from when they worked. Ask them what their preference for training is - some will be like "I still remember everything" and treating them as a greenbean can feel condescending. Some will feel like "I don't remember a*nything* I definitely want to start from the ground up."

I’m currently training with a group due to my store being new, opening on the 28th. I only been with Starbucks for a week and a half but definitely feel the love from the trainers they brought it. They both have different teaching methods so it’s going really well. Definitely ask how they learn and just be open. I love those qualities in a trainer. Wish my training could have been more one on one but we’re getting it and I’m super excited to be apart of a new store.
