Hi! So the other morning I had a fever and was sneezing and coughing before I was supposed to work, so I called ahead and told them as I was told to do. They said my (new) ASM would call me a couple hours later, she didn’t. I reached back out and they said she’d call me today. She finally texted me and when I told her I haven’t had any symptoms since yesterday she said I can’t work for 10 days now. The symptoms have been gone for over 24 hours now and I feel fine? Is this actually true because I’m so confused. The last time I was sick I didn’t have to do this.

maybe they’re being super cautious? i’d just read over the covid coach to know for sure the rules and then tell your manager you think there’s a mistake.

She told me if I can get a doctors note saying I don’t have Covid that I can come back in, and when I told her I’d go to the hospital to get a Covid test and a note she said it wouldn’t count. But I have to get a note… from a doctor… saying I don’t have Covid. But A Covid test won’t count? The way she’s wording it is just very confusing and passive aggressive honestly. I’m gonna go by the hospital and get tested and make sure to get a doctors note so I can go back in because I want to work lol.

I had to stay home about a month ago for the 10 days because my brother got a false positive test (he got tested a second time and it came back negative) and I had a fever for a few days, and they said it would only be paid for that one time and if it happens again I won’t be paid. So I don’t think I’ll be able to. But yeah I have no idea. She’s only been at our store for a few weeks and I barely know her. There’s honestly no reason for the attitude I got but oh well 😂💀

Your ASM is correct!! You had covid symptoms so you just isolate unless a doctor clears you to go in. They require a doctor’s note, not just a negative test, probably because the rapid tests can be inaccurate depending on when you take them.

Thank you! I was just really confused because I can go to the hospital to get a test and a note saying I’m negative from the doctor that does it, but she was telling me going to the hospital doesn’t count? It was just all very confusing since that’s really the only way around here to get a Covid test AND a doctors note. (Most doctors around here won’t even take you for a Covid test if you don’t have any current symptoms. I haven’t had them since the day I called in.)

Your asm is correct. The person who called your asm an idiot is the idiot.
Multiple symptoms is required to isolate for 10 days, unless you get a doctor's note saying that the symptoms you had are not covid related. A negative test result does not count as a doctor's note.

The only reason for you to self isolate is if you've been exposed and someone else has been tested positive for covid, and you're unvaccinated. However, and I'm not that certain about this part here, but if you haven't been isolated yet or haven't had Covid-19, you should still be paid for the hours on the schedule.

I’m fully vaxxed and have not have Covid! Nobody in my house has tested positive and I haven’t come in contact. I seriously just had a cold for one day because it got super cold the night before and I had my ac on full blast at 60°.. so yeah. Just sick from that. And I haven’t had any symptoms since that day. I have already had a 10 day isolation though because my brother got a false positive test and he took another that came back negative so I probably won’t get paid, which sucks.

Just call your sm and have her walk through covid coach with you, or get a negative test from like walgreens or whatever. Your ASM is an idiot.
