A few days after my 1 year with the company I handed in my 2 weeks after months of trying my absolute hardest to help my location be a place where myself and my coworkers could enjoy working at. I really did enjoy my time as a barista and as a shift supervisor. I finally decided it was time to leave for some other reasons we won't get into but will summarize with \*management\* :).
As I have been applying like crazy to other jobs I've been learning quickly that a lot of employers recognize working at Starbucks to be difficult. So my advice to those who have worked at Starbucks either as a barista or as a shift supervisor is DON'T DOWNPLAY WHAT YOU'RE CAPABLE OF.
List how you are a multitasker, have cleaning and custodial experience, food industry experience, customer service, etc
for the SSVs specifically, LIST HOW YOU MANAGE MONEY, MAKE DEPOSITS, BALANCE THE SAFE, MANAGE EMPLOYEES, KEEP AND ORDER INVENTORY, HANDLE STRESSFUL SITUATIONS WHERE YOU HAVE TO MAKE ON THE FLY DECISIONS
Good luck to all of you still at the Bux, just starting at the Bux or leaving. I was very unhappy the last few months but I truly hope the best for everyone at the Bux (except for corporate higherups with direct power to make their business more efficient and less stressful for their own employees but choose not to in order to maintain the highest possible profit)
