Someone asked if we can make the drinks carbonated. He wanted a mango refresher but with bubbles and tbh I’m with him

I close and more than once people will come in like a minute or two before closing and ask for a sandwich. TWO MINUTES before closing, obviously there is not anything left ( we are in the middle of a campus so not huge stock n such) . I tell them and they always ask, “dang why are you guys always out of everything?” Well maybe if you didn’t come in as our doors are closing you’d have more luck 🙃

"Do you guys have boba tea?"

"Do you have hazelnut/peppermint/toffee nut/caramel drizzle/oatmilk in yet?"

"Can you do something about the guy asking for money out here?"

“How many shots of espresso normally come in that Frappuccino?”

“Can I get that with no ice in a trenta cup?”

“Can I have two venti cups of just ice?”

I’m tired of asking “what size?” And “hot or iced?” “caramel macchiato” is not how you order.

I hate being asked "yeah, but is it too sweet?" It feels like so many people will asked about a drink they havent tried yet, mostly the pumpkin cream cold brew it seems, and when told it's really good and super popular. Look at me and ask if its too sweet. How the fuck do I know what you think is too sweet?? We have people that think 1 pump of liquid cane in a venti is too sweet and other ppl that put 10 pumps of vanilla in a tall latte

How about - what questions do I get tired of asking? A person orders 5 drinks, and every drink I have to ask “What size would you like?” Is there no learning curve? Apparently not.

When we’ve been out of peach for months and people are like “how can you be out of peach?!?!”

After being asked if we have [insert item we haven't had for months here] and replying "No" for the hundredth time, being asked "Well, what DO you have?" You have an ENTIRE MENU of other items at your disposal and everything you just asked for isn't even on the menu you are looking at. What do you MEAN "WhAt Do YoU hAvE?"???

I don't even blame the customers for this but I'm tired of answering questions with "Unfortunately, we're out of that and we will be out of it for the foreseeable future. Can I get you anything else?"

“What’s the difference between an americano and espresso? Is it water?”

“Which one is the blended frozen drink?”

“Where is your bathroom?”

“Can I have a Trenta tea, no water, no ice?”

“Can you make a Frappuccino hot?”

“Do you have gluten free sandwiches?”

“Did you make that decaf? Are you sure?”

“Why did the price change on this beverage?”

“Can you add extra bacon to that sandwich?”

“Why don’t you guys have cream and sugar on the condiment bar yet? When will that come back?”

“Why are you guys taking so long?”

“Can you give me my receipt?” (When I’m on Café/MOP bar slammed with drinks, and they want me to give them their receipt?? This happened TWICE to me in one day 😑)

“Can I get a cold brew hot? Does that come hot?”

“Is the Nitro Cold Brew hot?”

“Is (insert drink here) sweet?”

“Can I get a hot Frappuccino?”

“Can I get a London Fog Tea Latte?” (Exclusively asked in the drive thru, of course)

“Why does the app say you’re out of this when you’re not?” (When we have one type of sandwich/pastry left)

“What’s a good drink for kids?”

“Can I get an iced with cream and sugar?” (An iced what?)

Also the following interaction (exaggerated but you get the idea):
“Can I get a double smoked bacon sandwich?”
“Unfortunately, we’re out of that sandwich. We only have the impossible sandwich, the reduced fat turkey bacon, and spinach feta wraps.”
“Do you have sausage cheddar?”
“No we don’t. Again, we only have the impossible, reduced fat turkey bacon, and spinach feta wraps.”
“What about Bacon Gouda?”
“No, we only have the impossible, the reduced fat turkey bacon, and spinach feta wraps.”
“So what do you have then?!?!”

I had someone ask if we had soup… I was just like “oatmeal is kinda like soup.” They simply drove off after I said we didn’t have soup

My store is super new and a “drive-thru forward” model so that means we don’t have a food case and everyone always asks if we have one or where it is. Honestly we should really just put out a laminated food menu next to the register because of how many people ask.

Currently our store is mobile pick up only because we are short staffed, and we have a sign on the door that says "Inside for Mobile Order Pick up Only." and the amount of times I get asked daily,

"Can I place an order inside." Or "Do I have to place a mobile order for inside?"

It drives me up the wall because we have a row of chairs blocking the register and people still disregard and step over them asking to place a cafe order.

I haaate that tiktok has people thinking we got boba. We also get asked a lot if we carry soda. I've never been to a Starbucks that has soda.

When I tell customers we only have what's in the (pastry) case and they ask for everything that's not in there.

“can i get extra EXTRA caramel drizzle?”

People who ask for their spreads spread for them.

“Okay what syrups do y’all have”

I get asked if my store has sprite more often than you’d think…

A lady today asked me if her coffee looked so dark because it was a dark roast. She then told me she normally gets a misto. -.- I just stared at her

Not a question but it’s annoying when a customer orders a drink on DTO and doesn’t specify everything they want in it. Like when someone orders a “venti iced coffee” and then you hand it off at window and they ask “Where’s the cream?” The iced coffee doesn’t come standard with cream, and I don’t think it’s fair for me to have to remember to ask everyone who orders an iced coffee whether they want cream or not. It’s the customer’s job to communicate what they want! This is more of a problem when they act like I’m the wrong one in the situation.

I think my favorite is when I’m slammed on bar and someone comes and asks if I’ll take their order 😂

Not asking for, but skipping straight to ORDERING something we have never had. “Can I get hash browns with that?” “Can I get a coke?” Both things that have been ordered at my store, or asking for customizations on breakfast sandwiches like “can I get the double smoked bacon but put it on an English muffin?” Or “sausage and cheddar but add bacon” like what????

our bathrooms have a code number lock. so people constantly ask what’s the code for the bathroom. it’s so irritating

"Is this mine?" During peak. I didn't take your order?? I don't know who you are!! Why can't you read the sticker?

Alternatively, if they say "is this the vanilla latte?" I'm less annoyed. It's just the entitlement of assuming I know who you are and what your drink is when I'm pumping out two drinks a minute.

People asking if I was sure I put the extra shot, extra caramel, extra whatever in their drink like I wasn't the one who just took their order two minutes ago and didn't have the order list right there

Asking for anything at the window other than napkins and straws. You want a cup of water or ice or any food item or another drink, why didn't you ask at the box? Like I'd be cool with it if I could announce to the cars behind them that they added additional items at the window so everyone else is gonna have to wait a few extra minutes (also f drive times)
