Y’all I’m having dilema or mental breakdown whatever you wanna call it I wanna quit, well more like I need too I’m only one ever works at my store or at every store I’m at I am non stop solo baring for last 2 years. I thought becoming a shift meant I’d be solo barring less but no I still am doing it all time. I am beyond burnt out I requested time off but my manager told me I had to work on one my days off since I took time off. But like as far as I know no one else has do that. Problem is I’m close with my manager and I feel like I tend get the shitty end of things cause my manager comfortable enough to get me do it, I don’t blame her tho she got a lot going on. I’m always told at every store I’m at that I have do everything cause I’m the best at it, but I have been lifeless body for up to year now working for starbucks. I feel like I’m drowning while my hands are out of water but I can’t get out.

Just quit and get a new job. If you're on the west coast get a job at Dutch Bros. I switched and my life got much less stressful.

My first suggestion is sign up for Lyra. It’s free through Starbucks and it may help. Second maybe try headspace. We get premium through Svux as well. Maybe try talking to your manager. Tell them what’s going on. Being burnt out sucks and I literally cried in front of my manager 2 times in one day and maybe 3 or 4 times in 2 weeks. If you feel like maybe being a shift is difficult maybe stepping down might help. I know it’ll be a bit of a pay cut but your sanity is important.

I did back in January and they charged my insurance instead and starbucks didn’t contact me back when I told them .-.

Lyra and headspace don’t require insurance

When I found the therapist on Lyra they wanted me to give insurance as back up for the Starbucks one

Yes. They ask for insurance for when your 20 free sessions but I gotcha. I’m sure you’d be able to change it. I’m sorry you’re going through a hard time. I’ve been through it and it sucks.

Got any plasma donation centers around you? It's not for everyone but the new donor incentives (depending on where you're at could be $100-150 the first few times) can give you a little breathing room (assumming you're not on any disqualifying meds.)
