I thought we were so replaceable too, but Starbucks is having such a hard time replacing us with all these "shortages." Or . . . work theory here, maybe they're just pretending that there's a labor shortage so that we don't catch on that they're just cutting labor to make us work twice as hard so they can pay fewer partners.

I don’t know with this one, I feel like there is a possibility. However, a lot of people right now just simply do not want to work or when they do start, they immediately leave because they don’t want to do twice the work. But that is interesting though

If you work at a grocery Starbucks you do, but then you're employed by the grocery store and it's not that bad. We got little corporate bullshit of our own tho

I got you fam

"Attention Walmart shoppers and associates my name is Beth from electronics and I've been working for Walmart for almost 5 years, and I can say that everyone here is overworked and underpaid. The attendance policy is bullshit, we are treated badly by management and customers poorly every day whenever we have a problem with it, we are told we're replaceable. I'm tired of the constant gaslighting, this company treats their elderly associates like shit. To Jared our store manager you're a pervert. Greta and Kathy shame on y'all for treating your store associates the way you do. I hope you don't speak to your families the way you speak to us. Shoutout to Kamani, Patty, Chardel, and so many more. Walmart doesn't deserve y'all, fuck management and fuck this job I quit"

Yes, my store location is like this. Our SM thinks her job is only to sit in the back and do “admin stuff” for 40 hours a week. We ask for help and nothing. She also told a partner that had Covid to come into work because we were short staffed. That took out half our store and we had to close the store early for over a week. She is the worst manager I have ever worked with. I have been waiting to do this. A few times I have told customers how it is to really work for Starbucks.

Oh that sucks. More managers should be like mine. She comes in and hops on floor when we need it and sits and does her manager stuff in the cafe so she can keep and eye on the flow and jump in if/when needed. She is amazing and I wish more managers were like her.
