My GM keeps scheduling me outside my availability. I cannot work Saturdays and I got that approved on my availability. Yet I am scheduled for them almost every week. I have to call out for 2x this month because of it and I know they are going to try and guilt me into coming in because store will be swamped. Can I get fired for calling out even though GM approved availability. How do I fix this going forward? Honestly making me wanna quit because I don't like having to call out. I know it makes everyone else's shift miserable but I cannot work those days :/

I know it sounds bad, but make a big deal out of it. Schedule a meeting with your GM + a witness (high level supervisor hopefully) and discuss it. Remind them that they approved your availability. Fill out a new form in front of them if you have to.
Or you could contact corporate HR.
This isn’t really Starbucks company specific advice because frankly, as a QFC kiosk partner I have no clue what that looks like, but it is exactly what I did to my GM at QFC in a similar situation.

Yeah… sounds like you have my old temporary sm. She always did this. She scheduled me outside of my availability, on days off, she even scheduled me while I was on leave because you know I gave birth to a human and was in the hospital and she made me find coverage for those shifts even though… you know… i was a little busy… Like you can’t do that. The best part is that if it is your approved availability, they have to basically override the system to actually schedule you. So they know what they’re doing. You need to confront them unfortunately. Preferably with a witness. And if they don’t do anything, contact your district manager, and if they don’t do anything, HR/PCC (888-728-9411).

Tell your manager one last time about the availability change and if it's not fixed then literally just don't go in and don't answer the phone when they call. Your new availability was documented and approved, they can't do anything to you for something that's their fault (and if they try to write you up or whatever for it, tell them straight up). Just don't go in, make them regret continuing to schedule you on days you specifically told them you couldn't lmao

Ok yah it's just getting really old. Especially because the first time it happened she was like well you are scheduled now find someone to take it because anything I schedule you for is your responsibility. And ik shes scheduling me because nobody can work that day/time and she just wants to make it someone else's problem but it sure as hell won't be me. This plus losing covid benefits and some other bs... I might be going elsewhere for employment.

Oh nah if it's her fault for scheduling you like that it's her responsibility... Sounds like she's just trying to push it onto you and hoping youll just take it. Good luck should you find another job
