Shoutout to My Coworkers (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by AnoraRose77
Today was a particularly busy day at my location given it was around 6:00 pm. During the course of my shift I had an awful customer (I won’t go into specifics here because I don’t want this post to be too long), needless to say I started crying and the way my coworkers handled it was so touching.

My shift lead allowed me to go to the back to recoup. While I was back there one of my coworkers came. I got up because I needed to grab some paper towels to use as tissues and here was his reaction:
He told me to sit down. I replied to him saying why I was headed toward the front and he said, “No, no sit I’ll get them for you.” He brought them to me, sat down and started trying to comfort me. Then he got up to go back to work but offered to get me something to eat/drink. I declined his offer but was very touched.
Later the two shift leads that were in at the time came back and started trying to console me by telling me about some of their nightmare encounters with customers. While they were spring this my other coworker came back again just to give me some water. Eventually they went back to work and right before I was about to clock back in another one of my coworkers brought me a cheese danish with whipped cream and apple drizzle on it (along with some cutlery).

I want to do something to thank them all for being so amazing. Any ideas?

This made me tear up a little! I'm sorry the customer was such an asshole but very thankful your team lifted you up.

At my store we have a partner appreciation board where we can leave notes for each other so that's probably what I'd do.

You have such an awesome team of partners! I'm sorry you had to deal with such an atrocious situation, but I'm really glad you had a wonderful support system to help you through it!

Quite honestly, this team of awesomeness sounds like a hand-made or just hand-written card of thanks would send them over the moon. It doesn't need to be a big gesture, because it seems like you all know and value the most basic core of humanity - kindness.
