Report to your DM if your SM isn't available if you think it was a scam call and if you potentially shared something confidential. If all you did was say the store hours your probably fine to just tell your SSV about the situation

Dunno why you're getting downvoted but you're right. It's a safety thing for this exact reason, you can't tell anyone a partner or SM's schedule. You can give them your store's email address (on all business cards) and they can then ask the SM directly.

Right, or over the phone, get the callers contact information and then tell them that the SM will give them a call asap

Huh. I guess it's ok then, since they're the one who has the schedule. It's a safety measure because if a barista, for example, is in danger from someone who's stalking them or something, and the stalker asks for the barista's schedule or asks when the next time the barista is coming into work or even asks whether or not the barista's at the store right now, we're not supposed to answer questions like that.

Yeah, I definitely don’t give out when baristas will be working. But if someone asks when they can reach the store manager I say Mon-fri between 9a and 3p is your best bet.
But I also only do that for people asking about their applications and want to follow up.

same thing happened to me , although i had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times cause our store phone is shit . he gave me different sets of numbers that looked like banking information and wanted me to tell my store manager that he needs money
