Hell no 😂😂 My store is extremely short handed and every shift I work I end up either crying, mad or my body aches . I’m good .

I don’t personally, but I had a coworker who would do this - she basically gave her number to every store she liked to borrow at and would work there before or after her scheduled shift and on her days off. If she wasn’t scheduled 40 at our store, she would call around to make sure she got it elsewhere lol

Yes! I haven’t called in but we have a friendly and harmonious group chat where we do that plus I let my SM know, he reaches out almost every week

Depends on the manager. I had an old one that tried calling people on their days off asking if they wanted to come in. Of course he got fired for this and a bunch of other reasons especially since he would gilt trip anyone who said no. But now my new manager hates anyone working outside the schedule unless someone calls out and they recently have been cracking down on anyone who stays a little past their scheduled time.

My whole district has a group chat where ppl often offer up shifts. Besides that, it's fairly accepted for us to ask around if we need a shift covered or want to pick up a shift.

I did, but I'm a rare case of someone who loved both stores I worked in for their staff and the customers.

Usually if someone is looking for hours they will post it in the back by the schedule. On the flip side since I’m in school and only interested in working 20ish hours sometimes I’ll post something offering up shifts if anyone wants them.
