I would say asking about transferring is still a good idea, most stores are understaffed right now and if you can fudge up a good reason you might be able to get into a nicer store that’s better managed. Best of luck to you!

It's never going to be 2003 again. I'm not saying accept your current situation, just do what you can to improve it and embrace the change.
