Get insoles for your shoes that are fitted to you. Only think that ever helped me

this! my insoles paired with compression socks really helped me feel lighter on my feet and less stress on my back!

I second this!! Best pair of insoles Ive ever used has been FP insoles (i think thats the name at least). Originally made for skateboarding but holy shit theyre the best

I used a theragun to losen the back, Corefit insoles and a pair of good, comfy shoes. Combined with CBD and some Voltaren, my back made it through most shifts

honestly i just use medication. tylenol and ibuprofen, cbd too. some people say insoles help. stretching before and after work. i know it’s really bad. most of the time i come home from work in terrible pain. but cbd has been helping me

Insoles, better shoes all together, make sure you're standing on mats and have good posture. Other than that, yoga can help a lot too

Our store doesn't even have mats...I've heard about them but never had the opportunity to use them🤷♀️

Yo mats are life changing. I would fo sho start asking where all the mats are..

Other than what others have said, take Motrin/ibuprofen before each shift even if you feel good - I was an Army medic and the anti-inflammatory properties can prevent or lessen the eventual pain. 800/mg per 8 hours is max dosage and take with food or milk so you don't hurt your stomach.
Edited to add your mattress might deserve an upgrade too.

Thank you for this ! I shouldn’t be worried about my liver when taking it? I work 5 days a week. It seems like a lot but I never take Advil unless I’m dying lol
Random-Brunette5 points1y ago
Its lovingly called ranger candy in the Amy. 800mg/8hrs or 400mg/4 hrs and your liver is fine. Its the stomach you should worry about more. I knew soldiers that routinely took it empty and got ulcers.

i always heard it hurt your liver 😳 shit i almost always take ibuprofen on an empty stomach…guess it’s better late than never
Random-Brunette1 points1y ago
I mean, your liver filters everything so technically anything can hurt it - especially when meds and/or alcohol are mixed or overused. Plenty of meds are toxic for the liver if you drink with them.
We soldiers always got 800mg ibuprofen (generic, no fancy coatings), and are notoriously bad to our bodies (energy drinks, booze, workout boosters etc) so the tip to not take on an empty stomach could legitimacy be extra caution given special for soldiers.

1. Good shoes. 2. Insist on floor mats. 3. Stretch before starting shift and after your breaks. 4. Rotate positions as much as possible.

Insoles really help, I don't know how I managed to stay on my feet for so long without them. I also had a partner who used a back compress/girdle
rosallia1 points1y ago
I used to think stretching wouldn't help but it really does. I specifically look for hipflexor stretch YouTube videos and lower back compression videos. I also have a theragun mini but is a big investment. I am lucky to have the funds, used a friend that worked at best buy for a discount. I fell a while back and sometimes I couldn't stand up straight and the gun helped a toonn
